American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement

The parent company of Optima Health, Sentara Healthcare, was recognized with the American Heart Association "Workplace Health Achievement" Gold-level award in 2020. This award identifies employers that champion employees' health and create a culture of physical activity. Optima Health has received this recognition repeatedly, in three of the last four years. Before the award was phased out, Sentara Healthcare was recognized with the "Fit-Friendly Company" Platinum-level award, from 2009 to 2015.¹

National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable

The Medicare Advantage plan from Optima Health was recognized for achieving an 80% colorectal screening rate among its members. This accomplishment is a key part of our commitment to the 80% in Every Community nationwide campaign led by the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (NCCRT).²
