The Optima Health Vantage HMO Plan is a plan choice in the Greater Hampton Roads area available to Commonwealth of Virginia and The Local Choice employees where an employer has selected Optima Health as a plan offering. It’s one of the lowest cost comprehensive plans available to you. With the Optima Health Vantage Plan, members may receive services at participating providers in the Optima Health Vantage network throughout Virginia and North Carolina.
Employees enrolling with Optima Health must live or work in the Greater Hampton Roads region which is defined as: Chesapeake, City of Franklin, Gloucester, Hampton, Isle of Wright, James City, Mathews, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Southampton, Suffolk, Surry, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, York. Beginning 7/1/23 the geographies will include Northampton and Accomack counties on the Eastern Shore. Enrollment opportunities are available at the annual election period for your employer group or during a special enrollment period following a qualifying life event.
